Hey guys!

I hope you all had a great week! My week was much better as I am finally better from that nasty flu I had! So grateful for the power of Priesthood blessings and for my health! So I got my birthday box from April this week! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! The box was perfect!! It had things in there I don’t remember asking for but needed! Thank you! The pocket knife tool set is awesome too! and I couldn’t be more happy with my favorite candies again! haha thanks! Really funny that you sent super hero tape in there too, because just so happens my companion is a marvel super hero fanatic!! haha He has all the comics and everything. So I sent a letter this week! hope you guys get it soon. this week is Dad´s birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!! I love you! I have the best dad EVER. make his special day a great one! I know roosters won’t be the same without me;) but it ought to still be tasty! I’m starting to miss American food and restaurants haha! but more I miss moms delicious home cooked meals! So this week was good. much progress! my comp and I finally met and taught some of our investigators this week. I know there’s purpose in this transfer here in Salgado filho, Santa Maria with my new comp. I’m learning so much to trust in the Savior, Jesus Christ. I must obey and I must do! When we fulfill this, the Lord trusts in us to do His work. I love this perfect gospel of Jesus Christ. it is for everyone! Santa Maria is quite big, but it’s great. I miss the country farm land in Itaqui, but it’s nice to be close to everything. Even heard there’s a subway fast-food in the Centro. there are a TON of hills here! haha Itaqui was flat open dirt roads. here its lots of hilly streets to climb! one of our investigators lives in the 'mountains' we call it. haha I will try to get pic of the view. the members are great here. our church building is awesome. it has a street soccer court in its backyard. pretty cool. lots of youth that are great and preparing for mission! one speaks fluent English! his names Rafael. he’s going to Japan on his mission in august! another is Lucas Silva (Elder L. Silva) he just left for Campinas brazil. the same mission as Tyler Welch! he’s the son of 'Pai Fort" here a very awesome and pretty rich member. well known man in government here but he’s like a dad to the missionaries here! his son Lucas will do great in the mission. when saying goodbye to Lucas it was like watching myself the day I left my family for the mission! crazy how fast time flies by! overall lots of great people and work here to do. I love the mission and I will endure! this week will be great. I love you all family and thank you so much for everything! have an awesome week!!

Família,

So first of all, HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!! I had no idea it was 4th of July until today’s emails! haha they don’t celebrate that here! crazy how easy it is to get lost into the work. Time is flying! So I’ve been transferred to Salgado Filho, Santa Maria. The apartment I’m staying at is cruziero do sul 87 if you guys wanted to look it up on Google maps. and yes my new address for mail is caixa postal 0339 centro - santa maria - RS 97001-010. so it’s nice to be in a ward again! haha church was great. the bishop is awesome here. so I feel like this ward has a lot of potential to grow! I’m excited to work here.

My comps name is Elder Alves. So this week was especially difficult because I have a bad case of the flu! Really hard on my body. but again, all will be well and I trust in my savior Jesus Christ. Family I love you all! Have a great week sorry I’m out of time! next week I will give you all a better update! love you!

Transferred to Santa Maria

FAMÌLIA,

This week has been crazy busy!! I dont know where to start!? haha but im super short in time today because of all the things we have to do today so ill just type as quick as i can! haha. so this whole week I had the feeling of how much im going to miss Itaqui! I basically knew this was coming before the call came. Im being transferred!! I leave 6:00 in the morning tomorrow to Santa Maria, my new area! Santa Maria!? way cool. I'm super excited! A little nervous, being the same zone as Presidente and all, and sad that ill be leaving itaqui. i will miss all the awesome members and great work here. but I trust the Lord and i know he has work for me elsewhere, in santa maria at this time. so my specific area is Salgado Filho B, Santa Maria. i believe my postal adress where you guys can write letters etc will be ``Caixa Postal 0339 Centro-Santa Maria-RS 97001-010``. dont know much about my area or anything yet so we will find out! my new comps name is elder alvez i believe but not completely sure yet!  So i have tons of things to do! pack my life into a couple of suitcases, say goodbye, photos, etc, and WORK!! no time to think haha my brain is fried at the moment and time is flying because I'm trying to get lost into this work! literally cant remember the weeks! time seems to be all together! especially this week will be crazy! but ill be sure to let you guys know. so quick story before i got to go already. when brazil won in penalties we were in the streets, only two people in streets, and practically the whole city exploded!! we were walking when a man opened his door real fast, threw a grenade thingy, and closed the door real fast. the grenade thingy landed right at our feet!! only enough time to turn back and run maybe 2 step when BANG!!! a noise maker firework in our ears, haha! could only hear ringing in right ear for a few minutes. the world cup in Brazil is madness! haha i cant even imagine if they win the world cup.Well family i love and miss you guys so much! i have such a wonderful family! nothing better in my life! the mission is great and the work is so true! ill be sure to let you know how this new part in my life goes in santa maria. i know itll be great too! I LOVE you all and thanks for everything! have a great week fam!
