Hey guys!
I
hope you all had a great week! My week was much better as I am finally
better from that nasty flu I had! So grateful for the power of
Priesthood blessings and for my health! So I got my birthday box from
April this week! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! The box was perfect!! It had things
in there I don’t remember asking for but needed! Thank you! The pocket
knife tool set is awesome too! and I couldn’t be more happy with my
favorite candies again! haha thanks! Really funny that you sent super hero
tape in there too, because just so happens my companion is a marvel super hero
fanatic!! haha He has all the comics and everything. So I sent a letter
this week! hope you guys get it soon. this week is Dad´s birthday! HAPPY
BIRTHDAY DAD!! I love you! I have the best dad EVER. make his special
day a great one! I know roosters won’t be the same without me;) but it
ought to still be tasty! I’m starting to miss American food and
restaurants haha! but more I miss moms delicious home cooked meals! So
this week was good. much progress! my comp and I finally met and taught
some of our investigators this week. I know there’s purpose in this transfer here in
Salgado filho, Santa Maria with my new comp. I’m learning so much to
trust in the Savior, Jesus Christ. I must obey and I must do! When we
fulfill this, the Lord trusts in us to do His work. I love this perfect
gospel of Jesus Christ. it is for everyone! Santa Maria is quite big,
but it’s great. I miss the country farm land in Itaqui, but it’s nice to
be close to everything. Even heard there’s a subway fast-food in the
Centro. there are a TON of hills here! haha Itaqui was flat open dirt
roads. here its lots of hilly streets to climb! one of our investigators
lives in the 'mountains' we call it. haha I will try to get pic of the
view. the members are great here. our church building is awesome. it has
a street soccer court in its backyard. pretty cool. lots of youth that
are great and preparing for mission! one speaks fluent English! his
names Rafael. he’s going to Japan on his mission in august! another is
Lucas Silva (Elder L. Silva) he just left for Campinas brazil. the same
mission as Tyler Welch! he’s the son of 'Pai Fort" here a very awesome
and pretty rich member. well known man in government here but he’s like a
dad to the missionaries here! his son Lucas will do great in the
mission. when saying goodbye to Lucas it was like watching myself the
day I left my family for the mission! crazy how fast time flies by!
overall lots of great people and work here to do. I love the mission and
I will endure! this week will be great. I love you all family and thank
you so much for everything! have an awesome week!!
Love,
Elder Sargent
